It lags a bit when it comes to releasing new features vs the Windows version, but it’s perfect for what I need. As a Linux user, I was pleased to find that it was both open-source, and therefore available for Linux. To install OBS on Linux, simply tell APT to install obs-studio. If you’re a home user, though, you can try using the official Ubuntu package server to install OBS.
It’s a great choice if you’re a developer and need to use OBS for live streaming. Some time ago I discovered OBS Studio as a solution for recording internal screencasts for tutorials and workshop videos. If you use Linux as your operating system, you might want to try OBS on Linux as well.
